FORUMS CLOSING

Hi everyone,

This is some advance warning that these forums will be closing shortly. The last day will be the 17th December 2018. We have noticed over the past couple of years that traffic on the forum and regular users have both decreased. As a result we’ve taken the difficult decision to close the forums. We’ll still be able to answer rules questions via social media and we’ll produce articles on the Mantic Blog too.

Many thanks to all of you for your contributions and conversations on the pages here. Special thanks are extended to the moderators who have kept things ticking over for us in the background.

If there is any content you wish to keep, please download and save it before the final closing date.

  • Upcoming Night Stalkers Army Releases

Bizarrely I couldn't find this shared on this forum yet? Here's a repost from Dakka:

    January 2019

The Nightstalker Army includes 40 hard plastic Spectres/Scarecrows, 5 resin and plastic Shadowhounds, 3 plastic Butchers, 1 plastic Horror, 1 resin Shade, and bases. MSRP is £59.99 $89.99

The Nightstalker Mega Army includes 30 hard plastic Spectres/Scarecrows, 10 resin and plastic Phantoms, 10 resin and plastic Reapers, 6 plastic Butchers, 1 plastic Horror, 1 resin and plastic Terror, and bases. MSRP is £99.99 $149.99.

The Nightstalker Needlefangs Regiment includes 3 metal Needlefangs Swarms with 40mm square bases. MSRP is £14.99 $19.99.

The Nightstalker Shadowhulk includes 1 multipart resin and plastic Shadowhulk with 75mm square base. MSRP is £29.99 $49.99.

The Nightstalker Fiends Regiment includes 3 multipart resin fiends with 50mm square bases. MSRP is £24.99 $39.99.

It looks like the Terror is a plastic Nameless Goliath with Resin conversion parts and the Shadowhulk is a plastic giant with alternate bits. PVC minis from Vanguard get some resin conversion bits as well.

And in response to a comment about how disappointing the rehashed giant-as-hulk render is, I made this dragon-as-hulk ...............

          The exchange rate is off.
£29.99 seems to be the standard for Mantic monsters though and it looks Mantic giant sized, which is a BIG model.

I really hope the hulk is gonna looking less a giant and more eldrich. This is way too human... No way it look like being from the same army than the others.
However this possibly is a wip where designed part were added onto the giant model to help us get a feel about tje final render of the miniature.

I made the post on Dakka the prices were only available in dollars so I listed the pound price based on an equivalent model on the store. The price is based on the Abyssal Chroneas which is $49.99 or £29.99

Please tell me that Giant with the bits is NOT real. I hope that is not what is planned. I like the new figures otherwise, except for the Shade(?) . The guy holding on to a stalagmite. If i have more than one figure in the army and they are all holding onto a stalagmite- its just too 'samey' for me.

So January? and maybe more figs and individual unit packs (3 butchers, etc, etc) a little later? I think this will be my new army. I'll still use some reaper and other ranges but mostly Mantic.

No idea how legit those leaks are. The fiends look cool though. The shadow hulk is servicable, but I'm sticking to the chroneas I painted with purple flames for my shadow hulk.

More than one of that shade would look a bit strange, but you can use the phantoms from the Vanguard box as shades too Also how many shades do you want in a list, anyway?

I just prefer models to be a bit more versatile. Im hoping individual unit sets like a box of 10 Reaper, box of 10 Hounds, etc are also forthcoming as well as the rest of the Night Stalker range. Dont leave gaps in the range for years and years.

Given Mantic posted it on their Facebook page it's real

I do feel pretty compelled to make the shadow-dragon if I can get the shulk's head separately

So Scarecrows and Spectres are the same kit? But i havent seen any pictures of the Spectres or the sprues. Any idea what they look like? Im cautious they will be too similar.

Someone has said the Scarecrow/Spectres kit is also combined with the Zombie/Ghoul kit.
