    Hello KOW fanatics,

After a really big break from gaming, I've finally found a game that I like. I left WFB at the start of the 7th edition.

So after a couple of games I decided it was time to paint my army, that's a feeling WFB never game me. I will start with my Salamanders, also have a Brotherhood and bought a second hand Wood Elves army to make a FON army.

But first is first, I present you the first WIP shot of my two first monsters, the mighty Ankylodon and a Fire Drake, also a color test for what will be my ghekkotahs.

    Hope you like them!!

Just realized the pictures are tiny, lets see if I can improve them:

They're looking like an excellent start to an army.

They look great from what I can tell - however, a couple of suggestions:
          • If you crop your images closer we can see the models better (bigger)
          • If you put the models somewhere clearer, the camera will focus better on the subject (i.e., the model). An open hardback rulebook with light-coloured endpapers is often a popular choice for this.

It looks like you're a good painter, and it seems a shame to not be able to see the models properly!

            Thanks Guys!,

Major_Gilbear Those pictures were taken with a mobile phone in a hurry, I'm sadly usually really busy. Next ones will be done properly, will have to rebouild my old lightbox I guess.

You can check my previous work, painting and sculpting, I just remembered I used to upload things to coolminiornot... can't remember the password though

I didn't mean that you need a "proper" setup, I was more thinking if you had a plain background available (like a rulebook) and using the cropping tool on your phone. Just to improve the photos without making extra bother really.

I followed your links too - really super work there!

Finally I got to take some pictures to my Ankylodon, I've been working on him this sunday, and I'm really pleased with him right now, just the castle and the gekkos to go. Improved the setup as asked, and I must say the result is much better.

                            Thanks Guys!

That's very encouraging words, it's actually been almost 10 years since I picked up a brush and there's been some relearning involved and an awful lot of dry paint to buy again.

Thanks! I guess some skills never go away, I used to be what you could call a power painter, painting competitions and so but I'm old for that now, taking a month to do a mini is not my kind of thing anymore.

I want to play, and to do it with a fully painted army is a satisfying thing.
